Hi all, I have been working with The Make A Wish Foundation for the past 12 years. I've planned rides and completed self supported bicycle rides to raise money for Make a Wish. Make a Wish grants wishes to children who suffer from life threatening diseases. over the past 12 years i have completed 4 rides and raised nearly $70,000.
This year i am getting back on the road. After riding down most of the east and west coast of the US i've decided to take it oversea this time. On June 8 i will depart from Amsterdam and ride south to Paris France. I estimate the ride to be 550 miles and plan to finish in 7 days or less.
Through the generosity of colleagues, friends, and family, we have been able to raise over $21,000. If we can get to $25,500 before i leave on June 8 we will have enough money to grant 3 wishes to children with life threatening diseases. If we get there, a very generous person will donate enough to get us an additional wish. Its very simple, these children are very sick, they need something to make them smile and be happy, and together we can do it. If you would like to donate you can go to my make a wish site.
